Six Flags Plans to Clear 90 Acres of Forest to Create Solar Farm

"Six Flags plans to clear 90 acres of forest to create a solar farm. The 21.9 megawatt facility would be the largest solar farm of its kind in New Jersey. Six Flags says it would provide enough electricity to meet 98 percent of the theme park's power needs."

"Jackson's Planning Board approved the plan on March 2. The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities also has approved the project. Six Flags expects the facility to be completed by the latter half of 2016."
