Princeton Receives $35K Grant From Sustainable Jersey to Reduce Energy Consumption

"Nine New Jersey municipalities — including Princeton — will receive funding from Sustainable Jersey to make their communities more environmentally friendly, officials announced Friday.,"as reported by Nicole Mulvaney of the Times of Trenton.

"Princeton will receive $35,000 to implement an 'EnergySmart Buildings Campaign' that will focus on reducing energy consumption from fossil fuels in commercial buildings in town."

"Other towns to receive grants are Morristown, Haddon, Brigantine, Cape May, Denville, Highland Park, Park Ridge Borough and Verona."

"Sustainable Jersey has distributed about $1.6 million in grants over five years to New Jersey towns, the news release said. The grants are funded by the Gardinier Environmental Fund, a nonprofit organization based in Mount Holly committed to energy conservation and renewable resources."
