New Proposed Albany Charter Revisions

"Albany County voters at the polls Nov. 8 will be asked whether to accept revisions to the county charter" ,  as reported by Amanda Fries.

"Last year, those revisions included the ability for the County Legislature to set its own size every 10 years without a public vote."

"This time around the charter revisions include nothing in the way of changing the 39-seat legislature, the largest in the state, nor does it touch on the redistricting process. Instead, the revisions of the document that outlines how county government should function cleans up language within it and adds the Probation Department and the county Board of Elections."
