Drew Students Partner with Rosa Parks Community School

Like Montclair Drew Center for Civic Engagement is one of several nonprofits schools who participate in the Community School Initiative where they go to Rosa Parks Elementary school and help the students. They participate in the after-school programs, tutored students, help with science and math exhibits for Stem night. In the community room they help out parents with ESL classes so that they are better prepared to help with homework.
Molly Rose Kaufman is provost of the University of Orange, a free people’s university that builds collective capacity for people to create more equitable cities. She is an experienced community planner, storyteller and youth worker. She has a BA from Hampshire College and an MS in journalism from Columbia University.add to directory
