Voters Have Few Chances to Turn Out Legislators

Voters angry over the state budget debacle will have little outlet for their rage on election.

Close to half of the state lawmakers up for re-election this year will be unopposed in the primary and general elections, according to the state candidate listings.

Department of State records show that 120 of 203 seats in the state House will be contested in this year's elections.

Only 12 of the 25 Senate seats on the ballot have a contest in either election this year, according to state records.
