County leaders Consider Expanding Public Comment Policy

Crawford County commissioners at Wednesday's work session discussed broadening the time allotted for public comment.

When commissioners hold the regular meeting next Wednesday, they will vote on a motion to add time at the conclusion of each regular meeting for public comment on topics related to county business not listed on that meeting's agenda. Each speaker would be granted three minutes at the end of the meeting to address commissioners.

"We wanted to consider a revision to the current policy to allow the public to speak about subjects not on the agenda," Crawford County Commissioner John Amato said. "Our policy for comment prior to the meeting will not change."
