Dana Cope Pleads Guilty

Dana Cope, former director of the State Employees Association of North Carolina, has pled guilty of diverting more than half a million dollars to cover personal expenses, including landscaping, flying lessons, a trip to China, a home theater system, clothes etc. He has been sentenced to 58 to 82 months in state prison and will pay $345,000 in restitution in addition to the $165,000 which he has already paid.
